T. The unique utilization of the self-hinging properties of copolymer polypropylene plastic is exceptional. The multiple segments not only provide hinges for squeezing the sponge mop, they also provide one-time hinges that are utilized to assemble the sponge mop during manufacturing. Instead of requiring several pieces and parts like competitive sponge mops, the Jumbo Mop is molded in one piece with four polypropylene "living" hinges. As a result the piece part cost has been significantly reduced as well as the assembly time slashed by about 70%.
This injection molded plastic sponge mop was designed for the O-Cedar Division of The Drackett Company, a division of Bristol Meyers Corporation.
